The Loudoun Chapter of the NAACP has the following events coming up in October:
Townhall on Police Brutality and Criminal Justice Reform – October 5 6:30pm at Tuscarora High School
The Community Engagement Coalition (CEC), a community focused organization based in Loudoun County, in conjunction with the Loudoun NAACP Legal Redress Committee will be hosting a town hall discussion on building relationships with local authorities to combat police brutality and reform our county criminal justice.
This free event will take place at Tuscarora High School on October 5, 2016 at 6:30 p.m., and features panelists from local law enforcement and criminal justice community. Confirmed speakers include: Gregory Brown, Michael Chapman, Jim Plowman, Victor Leon Powell and Phyllis Randall.
2016 Freedom Fund Gala – October 8 5:30pm at Hilton Washington Dulles Airport
Keynote Speaker: Brenda Welburn, Former Executive Director, National Association of State Boards of Education. Music and dancing featuring Bryan Fox and Friends will follow the Dinner Awards Program. Tickets can be purchased separately, in advance or at the door, for this portion of the evening for those who don’t plan to attend the Dinner.
